Description
This is a graphite pencil work that took about 6 hours. It's submission two outta three for the Okami Art Contest.
The true power of drawing is making drawn objects come to life, just like Ammy does. Like Ammy, any artist can affect the reality within their pictures. That is the reasoning behind this work.
I realize that the back legs aren't quite correct anatomically. It is a reference to how the person controlling Ammy's brush often doesn't create a perfect symbol (so many of my 'suns' were oval shaped XD), but the ability still works. Likewise, even though all of Ammy isn't drawn perfectly, she still rises out of the paper.

The differences in depth come across very well in this piece. I think it might be neat to see some other scenery or artist's 'flat' doodles elsewhere on the page so we can see more of the 2D element of it to contrast with the 3D of the "real" objects and Ammy coming out of the page.
